You shouldn't avoid feeding your Eclectus nuts because they're considered nothing more than fatty treats. Nuts do contribute to good parrot health if given in moderation. Nuts are a source of selenium, zinc, vitamin E, magnesium, protein, copper, potassium, phytochemicals, phosphorous, riboflavin, biotin, niacin, zinc. Feeding nuts to Eclectus parrots weekly or fortnightly is OK. The Eclectus don't need as many as most other medium to large parrots but they do have benefits to them.

Peanuts can harbour mycotoxins and aflatoxin, a fungal toxin that can cause cancers, liver damage, and the potentially fatal respiratory disease Aspergillosis. They are a regularly used filler for bird foods because they’re cheap. Peanuts are also not a nut. They are from the legume or bean family and grow in the ground. The peanut can be fed to your Eclectus but it should be minimal and only human grade.
